Photo opportunity

The spectacular scenery that greets us as we head into Norway makes this tour something truly special.

Please note: Camera and tripod are available for rent for the duration of the tour. You can add them to your reservation in the booking process. SD CARD is not included.

Mountains stand majestically up all around the fjords and lakes and the sea never fully freezes. We may even see eagles, orcas and dolphins, though we can’t guarantee it!

This tour offers a full range of photo adventures. We set off from Abisko and head west alongside the magical Lake Torenträsk in our minibusses, crossing the border into Norway at Riksgränsen. During the trip, we stop at some of the beautiful and historically significant places along the way and the guide will tell you about the area and history.

The landscape changes dramatically as we head towards the fjords. Once we get to the village of Bjerkvik, we stop somewhere for you to buy lunch. From Bjerkvik, we head north to Grovfjord, a village beside the Grov fjord where the fjord is at its narrowest. The Moelva and Gårdselva rivers flow down into the fjord at this point.

Once we have taken our fill of wonderful photographs, we set off to the east to see and stop at the 23-km (14 mile) long Gratangen fjord. There are battlegrounds from WW2 along the whole route and here you can read more about the Battle of Gratangen. Each fjord is equally but differently beautiful. Please note, that this is one of the few possible routes we can take. There are many more destinations we can choose based on weather conditions, etc.

Do not worry if you have never used a camera before, our professional photographers will quickly teach you the skills for taking pictures and they will be there to take amazing photos with and of you! Those memories and photos will last a lifetime. During the trip, you can either use your own camera or our cameras and tripods. Please bring your own SD memory card to use. If you don’t have your own memory card, you can buy one from the Reception before we leave.
